We rented a car for our trip to Patagonia and the experience with Marcelo was simply outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure all was easy, the car was great and he even dropped us at the airport after we delivered the car back literally in the middle of the night. Superb experience and very recommended!

Estive com minha família passando as férias na Patagônia e alugamos um carro com o Marcelo. Uma pessoa maravilhosa muito gentil e prestativo o que hoje em dia é muito raro. Nos fez a gentileza de nos deixar no aeroporto quando fomos entregar o carro. Estivemos em Ushuaia e o Marcelo arrumou toda a documentação necessária para atraversarmos a fronteira e nos deu várias dicas, inclusive de como usar as correntes na roda se caso fosse necessário pois estava nevando muito. O carro estava em ótimo estado e não tivemos nenhum problema, ao contrário de outras locadoras que pesquisei no local que entregaram o carro com defeito e estragaram a viagem das pessoas. Enfim recomendo 100% a locadora Altos de Punta Arenas.

We rented a Hyundai here for a trip to Torres del Paine and the owner was very helpful, friendly, and flexible. The car was relatively new and worked perfectly. The experience was so seamless and pleasant. We could have not asked for anything better. Highly recommended.

We rented with Altos de Punta Arenas a couple of weeks ago for 5 days via Rental Cars. The process of picking the car up was straight-forward and easy. The owner of this small local rental business, Marcelo, was friendly, flexible and very helpful. The vehicle, a Toyota Hilux, was in good shape, well-maintained and fit for Patagonian gravel roads. It did not look brand new and had some tears and wears inside as well as outside, which is OK considering its use in often times difficult terrain. We enjoyed our time, feeling safe, mobile and flexible touring Torres del Paine. A simple and basic car seat for our 8 months old baby was provided upon request and for an extra fee (if you have a baby under 18 months consider bringing your own seat). Upon dropping the vehicle - at 8 am on a Sunday, opened just for us! - Marcelo very kindly offered to drive us to the airport for a small tip, which was much appreciated. We got our deposit back promptly and effortlessly. Would book with this local company over the big players again any time! Can highly recommend.

My husband and I rented a car from Altos de Punta Arenas for our two-week trip around Patagonia and we couldn't be happier!
